2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp.baking powder
1/2 c.butter or margarine
1 egg
milk
1/4 tsp.salt.
1 can cherry (or other fruit) pie filling

Topping
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
Mix like pie crust and sprinkle over top of cake. Bake. When cool, drizzle with powdered sugar frosting.

Mix first four ingredients like pie crust. Beat egg and add enough milk to make 1 cup. Mix all ingredients well. Pour into 10x15 greased and floured pan. Pour can of filling over it. Mix topping ingredients like pie crust and sprinkle over top of cake. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. When cool, drizzle with powdered sugar frosting.
