1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 squares melted unsweetened chocolate
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cram of tartar
3/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda

Filling:
Bring to boil:
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 heaping tsp. butter
3/4 cup milk
Blend :
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour

Fluffy Frosting:
1 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. cream tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
6 drops food coloring

Fudge Cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add melted chocolate and eggs. Sift together flour and cream of tartar. Mix mild and vanilla alternately with flour mixture to chocolate mixture. Add quickly to this, 3/4 c. boiling water and 1 tsp. soda. Bake in 2 layers for 30 minutes in a 350º oven.
Filling:
Bring to a boil 1 square unsweetened chocolate, 1 tsp. butter, 3/4 c. milk.
Blend 3/4 c. sugar and t1 tbsp. flour.
Add sugar and flour to boiled mixture, cook until thick. Add vanilla, chopped nuts and pinch of salt. Spread.
Fluffy Frosting:
Beat in a double boiler until it forms peaks, then frost the cake.
