1/2 c. butter or shortening, 1 1/4 c brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 can cooked pumpkin, 1/2 t. salt, 1/4 t. ginger, 1/2 t. nutmeg, 1/2 t. cinnamon, 2 1/2 c. flour, 4 t. baking powder, 1 c. raisins, 1 c. chopped pecans, 1 t lemon extract.

Cream butter or shortening with sugar, add eggs, pumpkin and spices, blend well. stir in raisins and nuts, blend in lemon extract, sift dry ingredients and beat well. drop by rounded teaspoonful onto parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 15 min. at 400º
