2 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp each cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg
4 eggs
1 c. cooking oil
2/3 c. water
2 c. pumpkin
nuts and/or raisins if desired

Mix all ingredients as given. makes a large, heavy batter. Bake at 325 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Makes four large loaves.
