3 1/2 c. Sifted All Purpose Flour
4 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 c. Milk
1 c. Margarine, Butter or Crisco
2 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
Optional: 1 tsp. Lemon Extract

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix margarine and sugar until blended. Beat in eggs, vanilla (& lemon). Mix in sifted dry ingredients.

Chill several hours or overnight. If dough is crumbly add a bit more milk.

Roll out to 1/8" thickness on floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased baking sheet. Decorate with colored sugar or plain sugar if desired.

Bake in a 400º over for about six (6) minutes or until lightly browned. Store in airtight container. Can also frost after baked and cooled.
