2 teaspoons salt
1 cup regular grits
2 cups milk, divided
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
1 stick butter or margarine
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to boil; add salt and grits. Cook until thick, beating often. Add 1 cup milk; stir well; cook until thickened. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add eggs, most of the cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and remaining milk. Stir to blend thoroughly; pour into buttered 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake 1 hour.
Yield: 8 servings.
