3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk

Melt chocolate and butter. Add sugar. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Boil gently over low heat for 8 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool slightly before serving. Store in refrigerator and reheat before serving.

Variation: For peanut butter fudge sauce, stir in 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter after boiling.
