1 lb ground beef, optional (good vegatarian dish also)
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. green pepper, chopped
1 T. Butter
1 28 oz. can tomatoes with liquid
1 can mushroom stems and pieces or
1 c. fresh mushrooms
1 c. black olives, drained 2.25 oz.
2 tsp. oregano
12 or spaghetti, cooked and drained
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
In skillet, saute in butter until tender onion, green pepper and mushrooms if fresh. Add tomatoes, canned mushroom if used, olives and oregano. Add ground beef if desired. Simmer 10 minutes uncovered.

Place 1/2 cooked apaghetti in greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Top with 1/2 veg/meat mixture and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.

Mix soup and water until smooth. Pour over casserole, sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.

Bake 350º uncovered 30-25 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
