4 cups Walnuts
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 stick Margarine
1/4 cup White Corn Syrup
1/8 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 200 ºF
1. Mix brown sugar, margarine, white corn syrup, cream of tartar and salt
2. Bring to a boil for three minutes stirring entire time. Remove from heat.
3. Add baking soda and stir well. The color will change from brown to yellowish tan.
4. Thoroughly mix the walnuts with caramel.
5. Spray Pam© or use shortening to coat a 2 inch deep pan. Pour mixture into pan and place into preheated oven for 1.5 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. (Hint: put the microwave timer on for 90 mns and use the baking timer for 15 mn intervals! Yo!)
