3/4 lb. pork or turkey sausage
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 c. wild rice
1 1/2 c. hot water
12 oz. can mushrooms
1/2 tsp. marjoram leaves
1 c. grated American cheese
1 tbsp. bell pepper flakes
1 - 4 oz. can pimento
2 tsp. chicken flavor base
1 - 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble sausage and brown in a large skillet. Add pepper flakes and celery and continue cooking until celery is soft. Drain off excess fat. Drain and chop pimento and add to sausage mixture, along with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a 3 quart casserole, cover, bake in a 325º oven 1 1/2 hours, or until rice is tender and dry.
