1 3/4 Cup Shortening
2 Cup Sugar
2 tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Molasses
1 Large Jar grape Jelly
1 - 2 pounds gumdrops (cup up)
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp Vanilla
7 Cups Flour - (half white/half wheat flour)
8 eggs
1 Jar Maraschino Cherries
1 Large Pkg Fruit Cake Mix
2 Cups Nuts
2 Cups Raisins
1 lb. Currants
1 1/2 Tlb. Soda dissolved in 1 Tlb Water
3/4 Cup Sour Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugar until soft & light. Add jelly. Stir smooth. Add spices, vanilla, then eggs. Mix thoroughly. Add molasses, then fruit, salt & nuts. Add soda dissolved in water, then sour milk. Beat until smooth. Then add flour. Fill Bread Pans. Bake in slow oven 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. (line Baking Pans with Wax Paper. Don't over-bake)
