Marinade:

1/4 cup soy
2 T. honey
1 T. Asian sesame oil
1 T. grated fresh ginger
1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper

4 Sushi-quality ahi tuna steaks, about 6 oz. each and 1 1/2 inches thick.

In a small bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients.

Place the tuna steaks in a large, resealable plastic bag and ad the marinade. Press the air out of the bag and seal tightly. Turn the bag to distribute the marinade, place in a bowl, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Remove the steaks from the bag and discard the marinade. Grill the steaks over Direct-High heat (with the grill lid open) just until the surface is well marked and the center is still red, 3-4 minutes, turning once halfway through the grilling time. Remove from the grill.
