1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe banana
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, gradually add sugar beating at medium speed until light and fluffly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in bananas. Combine flour, soda and salt and add to mixture. Stir in pecans.
Spoon into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes-remove to wire rack and cool.
