1 deep dish pie crust (baked)
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbs cornstarch or 6 tbs flour
3 egg yolks
2 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and cornstarch in a heavy saucepan. Combine egg yolks and milk and gradually add to dry mixture stirring well with a whisk to prevent lumps. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly with whisk until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and peanut butter. Cool slightly then pour into the cooled pie shell. Chill 3 hours and top with meringue or Cool Whip.
