1/2 C sliced or slivered almonds
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 head iceberg lettuce. shredded.
1/2 head romaine lettuce, shredded.
1 C celery, chopped
2 whole green onions, chopped
11 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
DRESSING
1/4 C Canola oil, 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. salt, dash black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a small pan over medium heat, cook almonds and sugar. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Stir constantly until sugar dissolves and nuts are coated.

(If prepared ahead, store in an airtight container.)

Mix dressing ingredients and chill.

Mix shredded lettuce, celery and onions.

Just before serving, add oranges and almonds. Toss with dressing.
