1 cup butter - softened
1 cup brown sugar - firmly packed
1 cup white sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup maraschino cherry juice
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
16 oz black walnuts - chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars; add eggs and cream until light on fluffy. Add cherry juice and vanilla; mix in. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture. Fold in the chopped black walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375ºF for ~ 12 minutes.
