2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of Karo syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup of buttermilk
4 tbsps. of butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups of pecan halfves

Directions:
Directions:
Cook first 4 ingredients in a large heavy boiler a little pass soft-boil stage. Add butter and vanilla. Stir until the butter has melted. Take boiler off of flame. Add the pecans. Beat until the mixture makes has a dull finish. Drop teaspoons of mixture onto foil or parchment paper. Cool and store in a tight container. These freeze well!
