1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 or 2 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the shortening, sugars, and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix. Stir (I just use the mixer) in the chocolate chips. Bake at 375º for 8-9 minutes.

**Watch these close because sometimes they are done at about 7 1/2 minutes.
**The actual recipe calls for 1 cup of choc. chips but I like 2. You can use any kind of chip but I like milk chocolate best.
