Mandarin Salad Recipe

Lettuce, chopped
1/4 c vegetable oil
celery, chopped
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1 can Mandarin oranges
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 c slivered almonds
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp brown sugar
pepper to taste

Brown the almonds in a pan with the brown sugar. Be careful not to burn. Set aside to cool; then break them up if necessary.
Mix the lettuce, celery & oranges
Mix the rest of the ingredients and toss with the lettuce mixutre. Sprinkle salad with the slivered almonds.
