2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c packed brown sugar
2/3 c all-purpose flour
1 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 c chopped walnuts
1 c chopped dates
Whipped Cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs. Gradually add sugars and beat until well mixed. Add combined dry ingredients; mix until moistened. Stir in nuts and dates. Pour into a greased 8X8 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Torte top will be crusty and the inside chewy. Cut into squares and serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Yield: 9 servings.
