1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
3 cups quick oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and soda. Stir in oats, raisins and nuts. Form into small balls. Bake on greased baking sheet at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. (Can be dropped by spoonsful on sheet).
