3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
dash of salt
4 eggs
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 to 6 bananas sliced
1 box vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler. Mix in 1 whole egg and 3 egg yolks. Stir in milk. Cook uncovered over boiling water, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Spread small amount on bottom of 1&1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover with layer of vanilla wafers. Top with layer of sliced bananas. Pour about 1/3 of the custard over bananas. Continue layers of each until you use all of custard.
