2 cups apples, sliced
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup Wesson oil
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix apples and sugar and let stand for 30 minutes.
Add egg and oil first and then the rest of the ingredients. Bake in prepared pan at 350º for 35 minutes.

This should be a double recipe.

This is a very good apple cake. I believe we used this recipe one year when Mom was over-run with apples. We filled the freezers with apple cake and ate it for months.
