5 bowls ground apples
2 cups ground suet
raisins
1 1/2 bowls vinegar - to taste
3 cups sugar - to taste
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon pepper

Obviously, Nebraskans loved mince meat. It's hard to tell what measure a "bowl" is, so mom's directions to adjust to taste applies to most of the ingredients. Also, her recipe didn't include the amount of raisins to include, so this is up to you as well. Good luck.
