2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 oblong pan or 2 round layer pans. Beat all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Pour into pans.

Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Oblong pans - 60 to 65 minutes. Layer pans - 50 - 55 minutes.
