1 package dry yeast
2 T. brown sugar
1 1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. warm water
3 c. all purpose flour
2 c. warm water
2 T. baking soda
melted butter
coarse salt, parmesian or cinnamon sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 c. warm water, brown sugar and salt. Stir in flour and knead on floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let rise for one hour. Combine 2 cups warm water and baking soda in a pan. After dough has risen cut into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a three foot rope, pencil thin. Twist into a pretzel and dip into the baking soda water. Place on parchment covered cookie sheets and let rise 15 to 20 minutes. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Brush with melted butter and cover with salt, sugar or cheese.
