Pastry for 9" pie
1/4 c chopped onion
16 oz shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3 eggs beaten
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 lb ground beef
4 oz green chilies, drained
1 c milk
dash of garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Line a 9" pie or quiche dish with pastry, trim excess pastry around edges. Prick bottom and sides of quiche shell with a fork; bake at 375º for 10 minutes. Let cool on a rack. Cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. Sprinkle ground beef mixture into pastry shell; top with green chilies and cheese. Combine last 4 ingredients, mixing well. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 375º for 35 minutes or until set.
