4 gal. apples that have been peeled, cored, and sliced
1 gal. sweetened apple cider
4 pt. sugar
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil cider until reduced to half. Add apples to cider while boiling. Cook slowly, stirring often to prevent burning. When it begins to thicken, add sugar and spices. Cook until it remains in a smooth paste. Test by cooling a little. Pour into hot jars and seal.
