1/3 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Cups warm water
1 TLB Yeast
5 Cups sifter flour
3 TLb Lard, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix warm water, sugar, yeast and salt, and let yeast dissolve. Then add egg and lard. Add the flour. Pat out on floured board to about a third of an inch thick. Spread with shortening and fold. Repeat three times. Cut and place on greased tins; let rise one hour and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 min or until golden brown.
