Luscious Banana Pudding Recipe

Ingredients: 8 oz. shortbread cookies with pecans, crushed
5 medium bananas, peeled and sliced about ¼ inch thick
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 C water
1 - 3 oz. package instant vanilla pudding
1 - 8 oz. container prepared whipped topping
1 - 8 oz. container sour cream

Directions: |
Directions:Reserve ½ cup of the cookies and then lightly toss the rest of the cookies and bananas together.
Reserve one-third of the whipped topping and then mix rest of ingredients together to make a sauce.
Spread one-third of the sauce mixture on the bottom of a 9 X 13 dish. Spread half of the banana mixture over the sauce. Spread half of the remaining sauce over the banana mixture.
Repeat with rest of banana mixture and then sauce. Top with reserved whipped topping and sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
This recipe will actually hold for several days. Of course the bananas will start to turn dark but it still tastes good.

Notes: You can reduce the sugar and fat in this recipe by using reduced fat cookies, reduced or fat free sour cream and whipped topping and sugar free instant vanilla pudding. The dessert will not be quite as luscious.
