1/2 cup crisco
1 & 1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup hot applesauce
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening & sugar. Add eggs & mix. Sift flour, soda, cocoa, salt and cinnamon. Add to the above mixture then add applesauce, raisins and nuts. Pour into greased 13 x 9 inch. baking pan. Bake at 350 degree's for 40 minutes. Test with toothpick, should come out clean. May be frosted with a powdered sugar frosting.
