2 Cups Boiling Water
2/3 Cups Powdered Milk
1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
1 TLB Salt
4 eggs
2 TLB yeast in 1/2 cup water

Sprinkle Yeast over 1/2 cup tepid water. Set in warm place to rise. Mix powdered milk, sugar, shortening and salt in Tupperware Bowl. Mix together and add boiling water. Stir until dissolved and mixture feels warm to the touch. Stir in beaten eggs. Stir in yeast mixture. Sift in flour 1-2 cups at a time and stir until flour is mixed in. Keep adding flour until mixture is elastic and holds together. Don't over-mix the rolls. Let rise until dough springs back out after pushing with index finger. Roll out, cut with round cutter, about 2 - 3 inches in diameter. Fold over and pinch outsides together. Dip each roll in melted butter before placing on Jelly Roll pan. Let rise until double. Bake 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with homemade jams or jelly.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I'm glad life is given us bit by bit
In minutes, and days, and years;
For if we were faced with the whole of it
How filled it would be with fears;
With all of its laughter, and all of its pain,
Its sorrow and joy and care - -
Why, even its beauty all at one time
Would be more than we could bear.
But God drops a bit of happiness here,
And lowers a shadow there,
And each of us has his portion of both
The bitter and the fair.
And, whether the way be rough or fine,
It's a comforting thing to know
We've only one step to take at a time,
Just one little day to go.
