1 Box Brown Sugar
1 Cup Black Walnuts
3 Eggs
1 Cup Water (or milk)
1 Cup Shortning (scant)
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Soda
1 Tsp. Vanilla
3 Cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook box of raisins in 1 cup of
water (simmer); cool; do not drain. Mix dry ingredients in large
bowl; add wet ingredients and stir well; add nuts. Spoon about
one tablespoon of batter per cookie on baking sheet; leave room
for cookies to spread; Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes or
until light brown, may take longer. Repeat loading each cooking
sheet until batter is used.
