1 cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon tabasco
1/3 cup olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
8 ounces linguine cooked according to package directions

Directions:

With food processor running, drop garlic through feed tube and chop until finely minced. Add all other ingredients except olive oil and with machine running, slowly drizzle in oil until sauce is formed.
Cook pasta, before draining water dip out about a cup of cooking water and set aside. Drain pasta, add sauce and stir to combine. If needed, stir back in some of the hot pasta cooking water to thin out the sauce. To serve as a main dish, add sauteed or grilled shrimp,scallops or even cooked diced chicken.
