Coleslaw Recipe

1 medium cabbage
2 large carrots
1 green pepper

1 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. whole mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Alternative sauce:
1 c. Mayo
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

For sauce, combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Cool and pour over cabbage, carrots and green pepper.

For alternate sauce: Mix all ingredients and toss with cabbage mix.

Diane adds 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds to her coleslaw for a nutty flavor.
