1/2 cup butter.
1 cup sugar.
1 egg.
1 tablespoon milk or cream.
1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
2 teaspoon baking powder.
1-3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar, adding sugar gradually. Cream together until light and fluffy. Add the egg. Beat well. Add milk or cream and vanilla and mix well. Add in 1/4 cup, sifted flour mixture to the butter-egg mixture. Mix well. Form into ball. Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap and chill at least 8 hours.

To bake - remove small amount of dough and roll on lightly floured surface and cut into fancy shapes with cookie cutter. Bake at 375 degrees approximately 8 minutes.
