16 cucumbers,sliced
As many onions as you might like


2 c. white vinegar
4 c. sugar
1 tsp.turmeric
1 tsp.alum
1 tsp. celery seed
Mix and let stand until sugar dissolves

Soak cukes and onions in 3Tbls.salt 3 hrs. Drain well.

Stir brine periodically while cukes are soaking.
Add to the pickles , put in Tupperware or glass jars and refrigerate.
