1 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
2/3 c peanut butter
2 eggs
1/3 c water
1 t vanilla
2 c flour
1 1/2 c quick cooking oats
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt

Icing

1/3 c butter
2/3 c peanut butter
2 c powdered sugar
1/3 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, cream shortening, sugars and peanut butter. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Add water and vanilla. Mix well. Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat into the creamed mixture until combined. Pour into a greased 15 x 1 in cooking sheet. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Icing:

In a small mixing bowl, beat the icing ingredients until smooth. Pour over warm bars and spread evenly. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 24 squares.
