1 pkg. yellow cake mix
6 c. cold milk
3 pkg. (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 tsp. apple pie spice
1 jar (12 oz.) caramel ice cream topping
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans, chopped
2 cans apple pie filling
2 cartons Cool Whip, thawed

Prepare and bake cake as directed on box, using Cool for 10 min before removing to wire racks to cool completely. Cut up in chunks set aside. In large bowl, whisk milk, pudding mixes and apple pie spice for 2 min. Let stand for 2 min or until soft set. Layer cake cubes on the bottom of bowl, pour 1/3 of the caramel over the cake. Sprinkle with pecans and then half of the pudding mixture. Spoon 1/2 of the apple pie filling. Spread 1/2 of the cool whip. Top with remaining cake and repeat the layers. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
