1 c. Karo Lite Syrup
1/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. margarine
1 c. oats
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 medium pears, unpeeled, sliced
3/4 c. all purpose flour

Preheat over 400º. Grease 9 inch sq. or round pan. In medium saucepan combine first three ingredients. Stir in cranberries. Heat to boil. Reduce heat. Simmer 5 min. or until berries pop open. Stir in pears. Pour into pan. Combine flour and 1/2 c. sugar. Cut in margarine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Mix well. Add egg, mix till moistened. Crumble evenly over fruit. Bake 30-35 min. or until top is golden brown.
