2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chilled unsalted butter, cut in pieces

Fruit:
5 lbs. golden delicious apples, peeled, cored, and
thinly slices
1 1/2 cup fresh blackberries or frozen (thawed and
drained)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour

Topping:
Mix flour, sugar and salt in processor. Add butter and blend using on/off turns until mixture resembles course crumbs. (can be prepared one day ahead) Cover and chill.
Fruit: Preheat oven to 350. Butter 9 x 13 dish. Toss apples, blackberries, sugar, and flour in large bowl. Transfer to prepared dish, mounding slightly,. Crumble topping over fruit. Bake until fruit bubbles and topping is gold brown. Cool at least 15 minutes before serving. Great with ice cream.
