1 stick butter or margarine
1 c milk (I use buttermilk)
1 c sugar
1 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
2 c fresh, canned (drained) or frozen (thawed & drained) fruit

Directions:

Melt butter in round baking dish. Mix next 5 ingredients and pour into baking dish. DO NOT STIR. Spoon in 2 cups fruit. DO NOT STIR. Bake 30-45 mins @ 375º.

This is wonderful with fresh peaches. You can serve with ice cream but I like to put a little half & half over mine. The buttermilk adds flavor to the cobbler.
