1 c. butter, softened
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Mix butter, 1/2 cup ONLY of sugar, vanilla, flour, salt and nuts. Stir together until well blended. Roll about 1 tsp of batter into 1" balls. bake on a greased cookie sheet until set and brown on edges (10-20 minutes). While still warm, roll cookies in remaining sugar until well coated. Cookies are hot and sugar will melt. Repeat in sugar one more time. Enjoy!
