14 c. Chicken or Vegetable Stock
1-3 T. Seasoning Salt (Lawry's)
1 lg. Onion, finely chopped
3 stalks Celery, chopped
3 c. Green Cabbage, shredded
6 c. Broccoli, chopped
2 c. Carrots, grated



3 c (whole) Milk
2½ c. unbleached white Flour


3 c. Sour Cream
4 c. grated Cheeses (Cheddar or/and Monetary Jack)

Grated Cheese for topping

Directions:
Directions:
In LARGE pan bring stock, seasonings & veggies to a boil in order listed.
Cook on high heat, stirring occasionally until veggies are lightly done. Turn heat down.
In separate pan whisk together milk and flour until all lumps are gone.
Slowly add mix to soup, stirring constantly.
Add sour cream, stir until smooth. Add cheeses. This make a very large batch of soup!

Remove from heat and serve topped with grated cheese.

The Sage is a local cafe in McMinnville (Oregon) They are famous among 'the locals' for their broccoli soup (and huge hunks of homemade bread!). This is supposedly their recipe.
