Pastry for single crust pie
1 quart strawberries, sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. hot water
1/4 c. unsalted butter, divided

Directions:
Directions:
Roll out pastry and divide in half. Cute into 1" strips. Place
half of strips on a baking sheet. Bake at 450º for 8 minutes
(Reserve other half for top of cobbler.) Combine
strawberries, sugar and water. Spoon half of berry mixture
into a glass loafpan. Top with 1/8 c. butter, cut into pieces,
and then baked pastry strips. Add remaining berry mixture
and 1/8 c. butter.
Top with unbaked pastry strips arranged in a lattice pattern.
Bake at 425º for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 250º and bake
an additional 1 1/2 hours.
