1 loaf fresh, dense whole wheat bread - 3 seed bread
1 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 t. sweet brown mustard
1 1/2 lemon juice
Pinch of sugar
1/2 to 3/4 # bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 pint cherry tomatoes
Crumbled blue cheese
Fresh basil, cut into slivers

Cut bread slices into small 2 1/2 or 1 3/4 inch rounds with biscuit
cutter. Lightly toast rounds on each side. Cool. Combine mayo
and next 3 ingredients. This can be done ahead of time and
assembled right before serving. Add bacon to mayo mixture and
spread on bread rounds. Top with tomato slice, crumbled bacon,
small piece blue cheese and top with couple of slivers of fresh
