Ingredients:  
1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cups molasses
3/4 cups Crisco (melted)
2 eggs
1/4 cup sweet milk
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped dates or raisins
1/2 cup walnuts (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in order listed. Melt Crisco before adding to mixture and sift soda and spices with flour. Fold in oatmeal, dates/raisins and nuts well.

Drop by teaspoon on greased pan and bake in oven at 380º about 15 minutes.
