Ingredients:  
Pastry for a one crust pie.

Approximately 3 lbs. apples (your choice) peeled, cored, and sliced;
1/2 cup sugar
1 t. cinnamon


Crumb topping:

Sift 1/2 cup sugar and 3/4 cup flour together. Cut in 1/3 cup butter which has been broken into small pieces.

Directions:

Line a 9 inch pie plate with crust.

Mix apples sugar and cinnamon. Add to pie crust.
Top with crumb topping.
Bake at 400º for 10 min; reduce temperature to 350º and continue baking for 40 minutes.
Cool before serving.
