Cleaned cucumbers
7 cloves of fresh Garlic
14 sprigs fresh dill
Powdered Alum
sugar
13 cups water
6 cups vinegar
1 cup canning salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pack 1 clove of garlic, 2-3 sprigs of fresh dill, 1/4th tsp. alum and 1 tsp. of sugar into the bottom of sterileized quart jars. Fill to the neck with cleaned cucumbers. Boil water, salt and vinegar and pour boiling brine over packed cucumbers. Seal and hot water bath for 10-15 minutes. Ready to eat in 3 weeks.
