8 apples (red or green), peeled, cored, & quartered
1/3 to 1/2 c.brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c.butter or margarine
Juice of 1 lemon
Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in lightly buttered 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with sugar,cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dot with butter. Squeeze lemon juice all over. Bake covered, at 350º for 30 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
Microwave: Assemble as above. Cook covered on High for 5 minutes. Stir well. Cover, cook on High 3 to 5 more minutes until apples are tender. Stir once before serving.
